SUMMARY:

Classically trained, yet well versed in modern-era music, Nathen enjoys playing Beethoven Sonatas to Motown Ballads, sometimes in the same medley! He plays and has written/produced many styles of music ranging from Gospel to Hard Rock.

During his grade school years, Nathen was a part of many groups including the Montgomery County Youth Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Chambers under the direction of Eric Lang.

His college years were spent working part time at Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center in Wheaton while continuing his music education at Montgomery College in Rockville.

Since then, he's played in an array of bands including a jazz quintet and a top-40 cover band. He has worked with many artists in the DC-area as a studio musician, vocalist, producer/arranger, and writer. From rap to rock, he's produced and recorded for up and coming indie artists and signed artists alike.

Currently, he fronts the eclectic Almighty Pawns band blending classic R&B sounds with driving modern rock.

Take the funkiest and smoothest soul music and blend it with the grittiest-drivin' rock music, add a touch of (class) Beethoven, and you've got an idea of what to expect from Nathen Scott.
